Managers and Executives: You Don’t Need to Be ‘Stuck’ in Your Career!

After several discussions with my own coach, it recently became clear to me that my executive coaching business focuses on three primary areas – all related to career development. These areas include helping managers and executives to upgrade their current job performance, secure a job promotion, and plan and navigate a career transition.

I thought this would be a good time to examine each of these areas to help you determine if career development coaching is for you! Be sure to take advantage of my free 30 minute strategy session for necessary and fresh insights into any of these areas.

Upgrade Your Job Performance

Please read the questions I’ve listed below and carefully consider if any of them apply to you.

  • Do you want to go from “good” to great?
  • Do you want to increase your personal and professional confidence?
  • Do you want to manage your time differently?
  • Do you want to learn how to grow and develop your employees?
  • Do you want to learn to manage your emotions?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, upgrading your job performance may be an area where I can offer assistance.

While you may be functioning at a reasonably high level in your executive or manager position, you realize deep inside that something is preventing you from enjoying the platinum level career you desire.

Seek a Job Promotion

I’ve listed a few more questions for you to consider. Please read through them and determine if you would answer ‘yes’ to even one of them.

  • Are you feeling ready for more responsibility and challenge?
  • Are you interested in serving people and your organization at large in bigger ways?
  • Do you want to learn how to position yourself for a promotion?
  • Do you seem to get passed over for promotions?
  • Do you need to expand and sharpen your job interview skills?

Since the inception of my coaching practice, quite a few people have told me that they desire a job promotion but have no idea what they need to do to land one. You don’t need to be ‘stuck’ any longer!

Plan and Navigate a Transition

The third pillar of my career development focus lies in planning and navigating a transition. Please examine the last set of questions and also decide if you would say ‘yes’ to any of them.

  • Are you dissatisfied with your current job?
  • Do you suspect that you are not well matched for your current job or workplace culture?
  • Do you often consider leaving your current job?
  • Have you recently been promoted to a management or executive position?
  • Do you need to figure out how to fit into a new workplace culture?

Staying in a job you dislike or have outgrown and believing that this is okay is not only sad but also unacceptable! Life is too short to fear change and risk.  Remember:   you don’t have to figure out it on your own.
