Career Development Program
Managing While Assessing Your Career Path

- Are you greatly dissatisfied with your current job?
- Are you interested in getting a promotion but don’t know how to achieve it?
- Do you need to grow in your current position but you aren’t sure how to do this?
- Are you feeling like you aren’t well matched to your job?
- Do you want to leave your current job to work elsewhere?
If you answered “YES” to even one of these questions, you are in the right place. Throughout my thirty-three career in traditional workplaces I experienced significant job dissatisfaction for a variety of reasons. There were times when I knew I needed to develop certain skills but didn’t know how to go about doing it. On one occasion I wanted a promotion but had no idea how to approach this kind of conversation with my boss. In addition to everything I’ve mentioned, I chose four major career transitions during different stages of my life.
Job change and professional development—within your organization or outside of it—can be scary, right? Especially if you don’t know how to go about it. I’ve worked with many people who have been unhappy at work, think they may not be in the right position, and/or believe they need to climb the ladder where they are or simply leave. Through my coaching practice I’ve discovered that these sorts of feelings are quite common among managers. Are you someone who is experiencing some of these feelings?
