Sylvia's Unique Coaching Style

When coaching clients, Sylvia applies several or all of the Master Mind process steps, whatever is most appropriate.  Her approach to coaching combines boldness and empathy, a unique personal touch.  Clients respond favorably to Sylvia’s active listening, her genuine appreciation of their daily struggles, and the steady encouraging nurturing she provides by drawing upon the client’s own suggestions and insights while the professional work is being done.  Just as her clients invest their time, energy, and money in coaching sessions, Sylvia invests a huge part of herself in each coaching encounter to ensure positive outcomes that are immediately recognizable.

Sylvia usually begins with prospective clients who contact her by actually conducting a free consultation session.  She uses this initial conversation, usually by telephone so that she is literally available to clients located anywhere in the world to model the coaching interaction.  Immediately these newcomers can recognize that they actually experience coaching firsthand.  Invariably, this experience leads to a commitment to further sessions and working together over a period long enough to truly “get unstuck. . .create a new story” just like her tagline!

Sylvia recognized that, in her experience, sometimes people talk themselves out of coaching before they even know what it’s like.  Once they participate in it and feel the benefits, they are frequently wow’ed rather than being threatened.  Often folks remark that this sample far exceeded their expectations.  Regardless, Sylvia’s clients eagerly anticipate their next coaching session.

One of the ways Sylvia has chosen to set herself apart from many other coaches is by offering clients unlimited email access to her between scheduled telephone or face to face coaching sessions.  Via emails Sylvia often reviews and provides feedback on various documents and correspondence such as draft letters and/or electronic messages of significance, resumes, cover letters, organizational plans, and job descriptions to name a few.  These efforts demonstrate her ongoing commitment to genuine client service.  Clients appreciate her availability as well as the added value.  Both coach and client benefit by the immediacy of problem identification and solution.
